“DA is planning to modernize the Bankerohan public market, making it not only just a wet market but also a farmers’ exchange center,” Piñol said in an interview.

The makeover, according to Piñol, will turn the city’s major public market into a mall-like supermarket that is clean. It will be equipped with modern facilities such as food storage for vegetable and meat products.

“(Based sa) international standards ang atong plan for the modernization of the Bankerohan public market,” said Pinol, adding that the renovation would also house wholesale and retail sections for local products.
