Around 400 members of the 16th Infantry “Maglilingkod” Battalion arrived in Davao City Friday last week.

The battalion-sized unit will help boost Davao City’s measures against peace and security threats, including terrorists.

Col Daren E. Comia said.

Mayor Inday Sara Duterte was grateful for the arrival of the soldiers.

“We are thankful for the added security,” Mayor Sara said.

Prior to this assignment, the unit was deployed in Jolo. CIO
